Angel Alanis

Angel Alanis, a true angel on our techno rooftop, played a pivotal role in our historic first release on Repressure Recordings from 2010 as a remixer for Jamez & Soulboy. Notably, Angel Alanis, a veteran of the underground dance music scene, contributed a remix to Jamez and Soulboy's 'FRIDGE' EP, specifically for the track 'Microwave.' Based in Chicago, he began DJ'ing at just 14 and releasing EPs in 1996, rapidly gaining recognition in the hard house scene. Associated with Chicago house originator DJ Pierre's Afro Acid label, he also founded labels like D-Form and Slap Jaxx while consistently delivering innovative records and electrifying DJ sets. Our heartfelt condolences for Jamez, who has passed away; this historic release, a testament to his timeless contribution, now stands at 13 years old.
