DJ Surgeles

Surgeles, also known as Kole Leijen, is a musical prodigy who ventured into electronic music at a young age. His career took flight in 2005 when Jeff Mills recognized his talent, leading to Surgeles' mix being featured on Axis Records' website. He won Dave Clarke's competition and initiated 'Civilized?' parties in Amsterdam, later founding 'Underground Freedom Fighters (UFF) Records.' His ongoing collaboration with Jeff Mills and his curation for the 'Something In The Sky' label have firmly established his place in electronic music. In 2017, Jeff Mills entrusted DJ Surgeles with the "Betty Hill Case" project, a 12" inspired by an alleged extraterrestrial abduction in 1961, marking a significant milestone in his career. Repressure Recordings is deeply impressed by Surgeles' work with techno legends like Jeff Mills. He's regarded as a bridge builder between the Dutch and Detroit techno scenes, further elevating his status in the electronic music realm.
