Santonio Echols
Santonio Echols, a renowned Detroit techno pioneer, co-founded Reese & Santonio with Kevin Saunderson, delivering groundbreaking tracks on KMS Records like "Sound" and "How to Play Our Music." Their fame skyrocketed with hits such as "Rock to the Beat." Echols' solo career on Paragon Records produced tracks like "It's Not Over" and featured collaborations with Suburban Knight. The emergence of CYREN Records brought forth resonant techno and house tracks. Collaborating with Santonio Echols was a dream come true for us at Repressure. Little did we know, back in the '80s and '90s, when we purchased stacks of vinyl, that we would not only become good friends but also a close-knit family. His profound influence in the techno world has solidified his reputation as a talented and influential artist. His debut EP, "DETROIT ECHELON," released on our label, received significant support from the underground techno scene, resonating widely. We eagerly anticipate the exciting projects that lie ahead in our remarkable musical journey together.
